Confused and Scared!!!

My lab work came back and according to my LMP I should be eight weeks. My doc called today and said my labs are reading four to five weeks and are on the low end.She said she thinks I am at a high risk of a miscarriage. She gave me meds to take but it does not  comfort to know I could lose my baby. Has anyone experienced anything like this I could really use some hope.

Did the progesterone help you?

I have been on progesterone for both of my pregnancies.  I have had 2 miscarriages prior. Good luck to you

Yes I started on Progesterone today I will do.another blood test on Thursday and Maybe an ultrasound early next week depending on the blood test. Thanks ladies you two have given me so comfort I am going to try not to worry until I really have to!!

Wow, I'm so sorry girl. I have experienced this 3 times before. I want to give you the hope you need, and want. So I'm going to tell you that there is a possibility you conceived later than you thought and so your dates would be a little off. Since you have already done one blood test than more than likely they will have you do another in 2 days to make sure your hcg levels are doubling. The good news is you got a positive blood test! So you are pregnant! I know how you must feel, mixed emotions about everything. It is so difficult to find out that you're pregnant and then have someone tell you it is a threatened miscarriage. Keep your head up and I know its hard but try not to stress. It only makes it worse and can cause complications. I wish you all the best of wishes! Keep us informed and feel free to ask me any questions. I've had 3 miscarriages and I'm only 24. If you aren't cramping severely or bleeding then I wouldn't worry too much. : )

Are they doing repeat blood work and ultrasound?

Yes its like clock work!! I'm always on time and I had my last March 17th nothing in April and of  course Nothing I'm May but this would be my start week

Gotcha. Is your cycle always regular?

They did an ultrasound that didn't show anything that's why we did the blood work

Your hCG levels don't indicate gestational week. What matters is NOT the level, but what the level does. Frankly at 8 weeks you need an ultrasound, not blood tests.
