Scared to lose my baby!

I'm almost 22 weeks pregnant with my first child- a baby girl. Out of nowhere, I was up at 2 in the morning yesterday and in a lot of pain. I tried taking a warm shower and bath with no changes in my amount of pain. I tried eating, lying down, listening to soft music, and everything else I could think of to make the pain go away until I could call a doctor. My husband and I just moved to a new state and have an appointment set up with a new doctor, but the earliest they could get me in is May 21st. I called as soon as they opened to see if I could get in sooner for an emergency appointment, but they said they were too full and to go to the emergency room. While we were there, they ran several tests and found out I'm dehydrated and low on iron. In addition to that, I had 3 contractions in one hour. They found out the pain I was in was caused by the contractions, but they don't know what caused the contractions. I still have 18 weeks to carry this baby and I'm terrified to lose her! I never understood how much a mother loves her child until I saw that little miracle moving around inside me and felt her kick for the first time! Both my husband and I are so excited but now nervous about how this will end because I'm one step away from complete bed rest with 4 months to go. Any advice for us?

Stay hydrated and take it easy I was on bedrest with my first from 26 weeks on and it was miserable but if thar's what it takes it's worth it. Good luck

Dehydration is most likely what is causing the contractions.... drink plenty of water, limit sugary drinks and take it easy... did they check you at all to see if you were dialated at all? did the contractions stop?

Did they check to see if your dilated/effaced? At 21 weeks i was having really painful contractions (like 5-6 an hour) and turned out i was 50% effaced and .5 centimeters dilated. Ive been on bedrest and meds to stop the comtractions. Just take it easy, dont walk around a lot, drink youe water. If they put you on bedrest just remember your helping your baby girls survival. Ive been on bedrest since 21weeks and im now almost 32. Its tough but you can so it:)
