Thanks ladies, good to know I'm not alone!! I usually get the pain on either side, never down the middle. When it kicks in it feels the worse around my butt :-/ I have found that when sitting or laying down, if I put a small pillow under the right side of my butt it definitely helps!!! Nothing eases the pain while walking around though
I have si joint pain and am going to therapy for it but it isn't helping much.
Yeah, laying down hurts so bad. I feel like I've taken over this post lol sorry! :/
Sometimes all u can do to ease it, is lay down, find a way u can be comfortable. The only way I could lay when its bad is on my left side with a pillow between my legs & sometimes with a gallon of hot water kinda propping me up. Sitting up seems to make it worse I think
I'm so frustrated. It started yesterday but has gotten INTENSE tonight and hot/cold compresses aren't working, neither are baths :(
For me, it seems to hurt more on one side, but I'm sure the middle could hurt too. You'll know for sure tho cuz its no joke & will shoot down your legs and everything =\ oh, the joys of pregnancy
this is wat i found...
Sciatica pain is typically felt from the low back to behind the thigh and radiating down below the knee.
@acline93 it usually starts at the lower back where ur tailbone is and the pain can spread down your legs or up ur back
My babies hit me with it at least once a week since I was 20 weeks. I'm now at 30 weeks and think I got the hang of throwing them off balance ;)
What part of your back does sciatic pain affect? I'm 16 weeks and my back has just began to hurt but it's in the middle, and leads down to my tailbone.
I'm 20 weeks and struggling with it too! Same with my last, it was more towards the end. I went to urgent care over the weekend for the pain, I was literally screaming & crying from it. They gave me tylenol with codeine but I don't like to take it unless I absolutely need it. But I have found that walking around a little bit seems to ease it a little, much more than sitting or just laying around. Hope u feel better soon!
