Stretch marks happen regardless of scratching. If you're itchy rub it. Sometimes lotion won't work. If you're going to get stretch marks you're going to get them. I've scratched and I still have only one stretch mark by my belly button

Oh my goshh I've been fine the entire pregnancy super moisturized and all the sudden 34 weeks I'm itching  like crazyyy. Do you think it could be the belly band ?

I've been good my whole pregnancy 36 weeks and it started to get really itchy lol :) and now that you said about hot showers, I always take hot showers but didn't know that could make me itchy lol

I had itchy belly too up till 2 weeks ago. It was pretty bad and my skin turned red. But I just applied any moisturizing and stretch marks cream regularly and try to avoid hot showers. Now it's gone without me even noticing and thank god there's no marks or scars. I guess it will go away in due time depending on your hormone levels as well.
