Seizure like symptoms.

Eyes rolling, tense body, sever back pain, and abdominal pain. Fiance and my mother had called 911. This is the second time it has happened. These symptoms have worsened. Started with asthma, then had a little more symptoms, it seems like its getting worse. The doctor at the hospital said that it isn't seizures. What could be going on? My father has grandmal seizures. I was partially coheareant at times during this.

They were more concerned about whether or not the seizures caused contractions due to cramps that occured afterward. they completely pushed the seizure like activity aside and were watching my little guy. it caused a little bit of small contractions. My obgyn is very concerned about these and were upset that they sent me to l&d instead of the er

They should have done the eeg then tho! My dads epilepsy doesn't show in his brain and they said that is a common occurrence in epilepsy patients effecting up to 45% I really hope for yours and the baby's sake they figure things out! Good luck girl my.thoughts are with yu!

That isn't right. How can they tell yu it wasn't a seizure if they didn't even run any tests

My obgyn made an emergency appoitment for 9 o clock Monday morning he plans on sendibg me to the neurologist the same day. Thank you all for your comments and concerns :)

There are other types of seizures.   There are some that the person is fully concious. There are some that involve staring off and only last a minute or two.  Some involved stiffening of the body only. Google seizure types.  The only way to tell if it is a true seizures is having an eeg within 24 hours of the seizure, it will show abnormal brain activity.  My brothers seizures always show in the right temporal lobe of the brain.   His are controlled now with antiseizure meds.  If you have seizures pregnancy can make them worse.  You need to see a neurologist for proper diagnosis.  Good luck.

They haven't ran any tests yet. My dad only remembers the before warnings that he is going to have them. His insides cramp and he gets a cough. He also said that if it was that i wouldn't remember.

My dad also has grandmals he has epilepsy and although some of.your.symptoms do seem to add up, my dad NEVER remembers any part of his seizures. That is really odd though. What kind of tests have then ran?

Research a movement disorder called Dystonia. A friend of mine has it.

Also at the doctors i was having very small but visible contractions. I'm only 25 weeks.
