Self Inducing

Just a couple of thoughts on self inducing.
Now, most books you might read say 37 weeks is considered full term. That is not true any more. 39 weeks is the new full term because baby is still developing until then.
It is way more healthy, and less stressful, to wait until your body naturally goes into labor.
I don't understand why everyone us making themselves go into labor when there is no medical reason. There is a reason why your doctor won't induce you. Your baby is still developing! Why risk it because of discomfort?
I know, it *****, especially if you are past your due date but unless your baby has medical reasons for needing to be born, and the doctor should handle that, let them sit in there until they're good and ready!
I'm not judging those who don't wait. I just think that it is healthier for you and baby to wait. My doctor said inducing yourself because you think you are ready is just not worth it. And I agree.

I'm 42 weeks believe me I'm trying everything to get her to come and I don't feel one bit bad about it :)

I've never been through the waiting so I wouldn't be good. Plus I am only on the app.

Yes! That would create great support for mommas at the end of their ropes! Great idea!

You know, some one should make a forum about how to hang in there. Be patient and have positive thoughts and emotions about they pregnancy. Because if your patient baby will come. It's all that rushing and being upset about being pregnant that frightens baby, and cause him/her to stay in longer.

Always let nature take it's corse, I agree with you. You let it come naturally, when bub is ready he/she will come (and if medically they need to be born the Drs will do that).

That's not so bad cuz your body is already dialating and obviously getting ready. But I mean mommas who don't have any signs of labor trying to induce.

I agree as well. With my son I tried at 39 weeks and failed. By the grace of God he was born 5 days early 7 1/2 and healthy. But with this one I don't want to induce my labor, not even impatient this time. I want her to come when she is ready, hopefully soon lol. Some girls has seen my post about how to help dilation. Now that I'm up for. I do want help my body dilated.
