Sertraline for anxiety?

Hi guys,i apologise now if ive posted this in the wrong forum....im new to this site and am still trying to find my way around. Im 25 weeks pregnant with my 5th child and suffer from anxiety and panic disorder. I was taking mirtazipene before finding out i was expecting and stopped taking them the day i got my bfp. Ive been struggling alot these past 6 months to a point where ive realised im not doing myself or my unborn little man any favours : ( The Dr has prescribed me 50mg of Sertraline to help with the anxiety but im petrified of taking them incase they make me feel worse or affect my babe. Has anybody been in a similar situation or can someone offer any advice? All comments and suggestions will be much appreciated xx

Setraline is the generic for Zoloft right? Cause I use to be on it. my ob told me that Zoloft and Prozac are actually the safest to be on during pregnancy, they have the lowest if at all any risk. He though still recommended that no meds is safer than any safe meds. myself, I quit all my meds when I found out I was pregnant, even ones that were said to be safe and I too suffer from severe anxiety but in form of PTSD. but I've been doing great without them so far. but talk to your ob about what they think would be best for you and your baby.  If it would be safe or no.
