Severe Depression

I am 22 weeks 4 days and suffer from severe depression.. for years now, not from being pregnant and my doctor wants to start me off on medication around 36 weeks because Supposedly postpartum depression is the worst and people end up Harming or even killing there babies and I don't want to hurt my little princess... anyone else dealing with this and taking medicine I'm just afraid that it will affect hurt

You're welcome. Im on a low dosage so I guess thats why my doctor has kept me on them

I would hold off taking the medicine until she gets here , I have suffered from depression for a very long time and doctors have told me it's not good to take anti depressants while pregnant. Do some research on it and than talk more with your doctor about it. Your already being an awesome mom :) good luck!

I have mild postpartum depression from my first, who is 6 months. Im taking meds at the moment for it, and they seriously help a lot
