Severely pissed off!

So I called my dr today because I've been waking up at night and it feels like I hadn't been breathing, sometimes I wake up and I'm basically holding my breath is the best way to describe it. I called my family dr first and they said to check with my OB because it's most likely pregnancy related. I'm 29 weeks today, and I'm 5'2" tall so my family dr said the baby may be taking up to much room. I called my OB and was treated like crap. She kept asking "but how do you know?" And the tone of voice she used was making me feel like she thinks I'm stupid or just making **** up! Several times I've woken up and my cat has his face next to my mouth, which is something they do to make sure their kittens are breathing and have often been found to do it to human babies as well. I really want to get this figured out but my family dr is convinced it's baby related and my Ob is convinced that I'm full of bs. The OB I see is the only one in town that takes my insurance, otherwise I'd have to drive 45 minutes to the University of Iowa to be seen and I would have to plan on giving birth there, and a 45 minute drive in Iowa is a lot worse in January. I have no clue what to do, idk if it would make sense to go to the ER or not.

Auzi,  when you see your new doctor you need to tell them about this - sounds like sleep apnea.  Depending on how often you experience this they may want to fit you with a CPAP or other appliance.

The cat is unrelated, I know how allergies feel and I know how asthma feels, I know how it feels when it's my anxiety. This feels like I have no room for my lungs to expand at all

Cats don't actually suffocate babies, they put their face an inch from their mouth to make sure they are breathing. And I just got my records faxed to the university to switch over

I stop breathing at night.  It scares the cap out of my husband. I bas5 wake up gasping for air and it takes about 5 to 10 minutes before I finally feel like I'm getting enough.  I get this even when not pregnant.   Sleep apnea.  I've never asked a doctor about it cause it always slips my mind until it happens.  If you can get better treatment else were I would.   I drove 2 hours for my last to pregnancies, and had birth in nov.  No the weather is not good at that time (I'm from montana) but the set me up for induction due to road conditions.  Safer. Plus the doctor should be willing to work about weather if you drive far.  I drove 1 hour to see my ob now. He is great and we'll worth it.
