I'm not trying to scare her? My doctors office stopped giving them and my friends doctor told her she needs to be taken off it after a year. Do some research that's all I was saying, lol.

I was on DEPO shot for almost 4 years and im 36 weeks pregnant NOW...THEY GIVE U CALCIUM PILLS FOR YOUR BONES...IN ORDER TO GET THE SHOT U NEED TO TAKE CARE YOUR BODY...QUIT TRYING TO SCARE HER..ALL BIRTH CONTROL HAS RISKS BUT NONE OF THEM SAYS INFERTILITY!!! Im in Florida idk where u are but here the depo is perfectly SAFE

Doctors ask women to wait for the reason of healing.  Outside but also inside.  Having a baby is a hard thing for the body to go through.  My doctor said to wait 6 weeks which is what I did.  good luck

I had a c-section and 4weeks after we did and honestly it wasn't worth it. The pressure was horrible and it was completely excruciating. It may depend on the person but my experience was awful.

I had sex 2 weeks after and I was fine! My body was ready and I didn't have an issue. And also, before you decide on birth controls... Look up he pros and cons. The clinic I go to actually doesn't even give the depo shot anymore because of the risk of infertility and how bad it is for women's bones.

Yea i agree that it depends how u feel with my first Child after labor I was a little scare having sex too soon bcuz I was feel a little painful and not fully recover so I decided to take like two months a little over than 6 weeks my man didn't mine he worries about me and he wanted me to feel okay and do it until I was ready so we end up having sex 9 weeks after the baby was born ...everyone is different I wouldnt  personally be craving sex so bad if u have so much time for the rest of ur life to do it with respect don't be to greety I would say ...I have a new born with only 6 days old and I wont have sex until I turn 7 weeks maybe or more but u should take care of yourself ..health problems don't come on the same day or moment but later on if u don't take care of u nobody will ...

I was too but it'd recommended you wait that long for a reason. You risk infection and it can be extremely painful. Your body needs to heal. Not to mention you are extremely fertile right now too.

My husband and I didn't wait the six weeks - I wouldn't recommend it. :/

I wouldn't chance it! Your body went through an awful lot and needs time to recover!
