Sex for first trimester?
is sex unsafe during first trimester? I was always told sex is safe in general during pregnancy so me and my fiance continued having sex like normal. One night we ended up seeing lots of blood and blood clots all over him and all over the toilet paper when i wiped. So we rushed to the ER. After 4 hours they told us the baby was fine, and that they found his heartbeat but i had a threatened miscarriage. Just curious.. Do i maybe have a high risk pregnancy and we wont be able to enjoy sex this WHOLE pregnancy?
And wow see i wish they wouldve told me what the cause was but they couldnt.. They didnt see anything out of the ordinary.. So i wonder what all the blood and blood clots were from. It was terrifying!!
oh my goodness! That is a lot to go through!! Well i am soo happy for you and that this pregnancy worked out for you! Im sure once you see your babys face and hold him or her, all the past will disappear.. Have an amazing time with motherhood!! Congrats!
I had something similar to me happen. The ER found a subchronic hem. (Blood that forms between the placenta and uterus) & said i had a threatened miscarriage not to do anything for a good week. I couldnt go to work or have intercourse. After about two weeks the doctor gave us the ok just to be very very careful and take it easy.
Sex is safe until your doc says it isnt! It actually helps bring that labor on! Have fun!

thank you! I believe so to! And yeah my fiance is terrified to have sex. He doesnt want to hurt the baby either. Its just a scary situation. It took us 8 months for this baby. And im a first time mom so i really dont want to lose this baby. I couldnt imagine..
I bled the first trimester for a good week but that was from a uti, but dr did put me on pelvic rest till i was 13 weeks. Hubby wouldnt touch me till i was 20weeks!! As long as they saw a heartbeat thats a good sign!
okay thank you! My appointment for it is tomorrow, they will check everything out again and let me know. But yeah it was soo much blood, all over my fiance and it covered the toilet paper, bright red and we found clots. It was terrible. I was devestated. I was extremely happy when they said the baby was okay. I just am scared that if we ever have sex again we will really lose the baby. I feel like the first time was a warning. And if we meas up again we will lose the baby. :(
Id wait for the okay from your dr, spotting after sex is common but not what you described.
