Short term disability?

I'm 27 weeks pregnant and work at a daycare with some pretty violent children.. I've been hot and kicked in the stomach multiple times and had to leave... Not only is it dangerous but my back is killing me all day and it's just getting to be way too much for me, the stress is bringing me anxiety and panic attacks... I see my doctor tomorrow so I'm hoping he will pull me from work, but to get paid I need to be on short term disability.. Does anyone know anything about this?

That's good your Dr pulled you out. And ina manner you get your short term disability. Good luck

Sooo I went to the doctors today and he pulled me from work! I just have to get my disability papers from my work and he is going to fill them out. So it's just time to relax now (:

That's really weird?????  I have never heard of that. I'm sorry to hear that, what state are you in?

Im on bedrest for medical reasons and can not get paid leave or short term disability I've tried. They told me it had to be long term which doesnt make sense bc my dr says im unable to work.

What are considered medical reasons to go on short term disability?

You have to request your short term disability through your insurance if you have an hr person ask them they would give the papers or a number you need too call. To get pulled out of work and get short term disability you have to be pulled out for a medical reason or you won't get the short term disability. I've been trying to get my ob to pull me out but have no medical reason/diagnosis to be pulled out. I need to be able to use my short term disability. My ob said she can pull me out at 36 wks.

Your doctor will give you the paperwork to fill out if he decides to pull you :)
