Shortness of breath???

Just a quick question. I am now entering week 8 and beggining to experience shortness of breath, I'm slim but not that fit, but am active . Is this normal, it seems to be getting more regular and drinking water helos, but sometimes i even feel breathy just talking.

i have the same problem i also now a low blood pressure im not sure if that has anything to do with it

I believe it is normal as well. I had shortness of breath during my first trimester as well as pani attaacks.  Just try and relax and breathe through it :)

i am 11 weeks and having the same thing, i was told its normal. such a nuscence!x

thanks its not too bad at the moment, I had asthma as a child till I was about 18 and have always had shortness of breath when exersising, I am now 30 so would have thought the asthma should have cleared up, but it certainly feels like that, a sort of heavy lung feeling. No dizzyness or lightheadedness. Am seeing my doc ob Fri so will mention it then, glad to know that others experienced the same though. thanks again

If you have asthma it can get worse in pregnancy, also allergies can cause it or anemia can make you feel that way. I felt that way at the point you are at my OB said it happens sometimes plus the fatigue of pregnancy. Shortness of breath comes at some point in pregnancy, some earlier than others. I would mention it to your OB next time you see them but unless you are dizzy, light headed feeling faint from the shortness of breath I wouldn't worry too much.
