Should I take a test?

Me and my fiance use condoms and have never had unprotected sex. I also used to be on the depo shot, though I stopped just under 6 months ago as we want to have children after we're married and was worried the shot may cause some problems when we want to conceive. Due to coming off the depo, I had a long time where I had no period, which is normal. My period usually comes at the end of the month, however suddenly about a week ago (during the middle of the month) I had medium bleeding for 3 days; which I assumed was my period coming back, and the depo may have changed the date of my menstruation. However on the last day of the bleeding I suddenly began to feel nausea that came and went a few times in the afternoon and late evening, as well as stomach aches and aching lower back. I thought these were just period pains, however the bleeding stopped that day and for the last four days i've been experiencing pregnancy symptoms; these again being suddenly feeling nauseous with the urge to vomit a few times during the day, stomach cramps, frequent urination, fatigue, strange food cravings (especially ice cream!) , feeling lightheaded, swollen breasts, feeling bloated and weight gain, sensitivity to aromas, Increase in body temperature, and heartburn. Would it be a good idea if I took a test? if so, should I take one now or wait a while as I stopped bleeding only 4 days ago? I believe it's more likely that I am not pregnant as we have been using protection every time, though my fiance wears the condom while we sleep and doesn't take it off till the morning. Could this have affected it?
Thank you very much to anyone with advice!

Hi Lizz I reckon take it tonight it sounds like you are having some major syptoms and they dont usually occur that quickly! Otherwise you can see your gp and ask to have a blood test done, they can tell pretty much from the beginning with those! HPT will show up from the 1st day of your missed period so if you want a definite answer the GP may just be your best call! Good luck!

Thanks for the advice. I'll take a home pregnancy test tonight to put my mind at ease like you suggested. Should I wait a while before i take it though as it may be to early for it to tell? or can you take one anytime? I've never taken one before.

Hi there I was on the depo for a while and my body was everywhere for a few months afterwards. However things can happen, it cant hurt to do a HPT can it? At least it will put that question to rest. If your sypmtoms do continue i would see your GP and they can put your mind at rest. Good luck with the future hope this helps!
