Maternal specialist
Has anyone had to see a maternal specialist before? I have to go to one after the first of the year, and I'm kinda scared. I don't know what to expect.....
Lol now I'm kinda excited lol. I'll be about 18 wks when I go, so maybe we'll find out the sex too! :-)
Nah I only see my MFM specialist a handful of times during my pregnancy..but I love it because their ultrasound equipment is high-resolution and one of their machines is even 3D/4D...it's a wonderful experience for me :-)
So would I have to see this doctor more often? Bleh I'm scared doody-less because I have a heart condition too that has gone unchecked for about 4 years.... this is the first time in 2 years I've had insurance lol. That and it's an hour away :-P my car is not that reliable but my boyfriend's is and he is going to try and get off for all the visits... I need to see if be could somehow use fmla.. (lol thinking out loud)
yep! i had to see a maternal-fetal medicine specialist with my 2nd pregnancy and this one (my 3rd)....I have to take medicine for my heart condition and they have to monitor the baby's growth.
It's just like seeing your OB, only they'll most likely do very detailed ultrasounds at every visit and order any necessary tests.
Nothing to be nervous about :-)
