You don't have to. Very few women will show that early. A first time mother will show much later than a female just for the fact that the stomach muscles are still tight. With my daughter I started to show around 7 months and during my pregnancy I continuously lost weight.
I guess it just depends, I'm 12 weeks pregnant and I'm not showing.
12-14 weeks of pregnancy.
When will my uterus move above my pelvic bone? (I know it's a dumb question. It's my first pregnancy.)
Yes, that sounds like bloating and retention. Since you're small you may get an actual baby bump (meaning its all baby) when your uterus moves above the pelvic bone.
Bloating and retention. Both are very common in pregnancy, especially in the first and sometimes last trimester.
I had a friend who was about the same size as me. I knew her before she had gotten pregnant. When I saw her 10 week photos, her belly had grown noticeably. So, I guess everyone is different. But if it isn't a baby that's making my belly round, what could it be? The top of my abdomen is flatter, but its my lower abdmen and upper pelvic area that's pushing out.
It's not baby. At 8 weeks the baby is half an inch long and your uterus is still well below the pelvic bone. Even skinny women (especially if this is a first time pregnancy) will not show and it be baby till at least 13 weeks and beyond.
Everyone shows at different times, I have a friend who is 16 weeks and almost as big as me amd im 31 wks! I also only weighed 102 pounds pre pregnancy but jus now started showing. Like I said, everyone is diff and congrats on your baby!
