Sickkkkkk

Woke up with a sore throat and horrible congestion yesterday. I'm used to a little congestion so I didn't think anything of it..until I woke up this morning coughing hardcore to the point of where I gag. I even had to showed BC I peed on myself a little when I coughed. So obviously I'm getting sick. Is there anything I can do or take until the doctors office opens & I can make an appointment? Also main question is do I call my regular doctor or OBGYN? I'm 20 weeks BTW. Not sure if that makes a difference.

When I was sick I drank so much tea to help get the congestion to stop it was ridiculous! Someone also suggested turning the shower on super hot and pointing it at the wall of the shower while sitting in the tub, works really well! You can even put Vicks Vapor Rub on the bottom of your feet, regular strength Tylenol was what my midwife told me to use if I had to use anything, and obviously try your hardest to get as much sleep as you can. Hope this helps and I hope you feel better soon, sick AND pregnant is miserable!

You can take Tylenol cold medicine and call your ob doctor when they open to get a list of all the approved medicines and then go see your regular doctor.  The ob docs usually don't have the tools to do other things I had the same issue.  But I just kept taking otc medicine and didn't ever see my regular doctor and I'm feeling better now (: hope you feel better soon mama!
