could i be having a miscarriage?

I have a tan discharge and I'm 6 weeks. What is this? My friend said it was the beginning of a miscarriage =( I've had 4 miscarriages and I really want this baby to live. Please help!I haven't had a menstrual period in the entire month of November, and I'm scared. I'm not bleeding but she said that the tanish light yellow discharge is beginning of a miscarriage.  I hope its just a yeast infection or something. So does anyone have any clue or has this happened to anybody?

Is it actually tan, or just yellow. Any form of brown discharge IS blood, but is older blood.

Only a doctor can tell you if you are having a miscarriage. I had a m/c at 11 weeks and had no idea but then 1/2 a year later I thought I was having a m/c and ended up having twins. I would call or see a doctor if you are concerned. Good luck.

I would go to the dr especially with your history of miscarriages...but it could be a yeast infection or old blood coming out...just stay positive honey...i hope everything works out for you

Thank you, I'm just so scared. Its a light yellow, but it kinda looks tan. She told me to check for myself (check my cervix)  it has been high and hard, but checked and I could feel it but it was medium and soft. I feel paranoid!!!!!!!! I have no idea what to think or do, I'm not bleeding, I have no brown discharge, but she is making me feel stupid saying that since I'm having discharge and can feel my cervix that I'm going to lose my baby.. I can't deal with that stress again for the 5th time.

Who told you to check your cervix? You should never check your own, you risk introducing bacteria and more into there. Your cervix when pregnant changes, but generally it will start to feel soft and raise higher. If all of this is from a 'friend' I would cut off contact from her. One, she is causing unneeded stress and two she doesn't sound like she knows what she is talking about.

Yea she told me to do it..... I said she is causing me to be paranoid. She said if I felt it I'm not pregnant. I think she just doesn't want me to have a baby. She just had a miscarriage and as soon as she found out I was, she told me all these things. I never did these when I was pregnant before. I never checked myself. She also said if u can feel the opening I'm definately not pregnant, when I know I am. I felt the opening but an hour or 2 later it was high and hard. I'm confused, she is going to make me lose my baby purposely,  I guess she isn't a true friend.

Please, ignore what she says and do not follow her advice. If you weren't able to feel your cervix while pregnant, doctors wouldn't be able to check dilation and test for different things. Definitely refrain from checking yourself, and speak to your doctor about any concerns. They know better than anyone else.

Thank you, I really appreciate someone who actually cares. I'm definitely not going to listen to her anymore. I'm tired of being stressed out.
