It can be a common sign of a uti, so I would make an appointment with your doctor just incase to get it checked out before it gets any worse, otherwise it coyld just be smelling stron as its been sitting in your bladder for a while and being pregnant your sense of smell is heightened
You could have low iron. I have always had to watcg my iron levels and this is how I know when it gets low. My first morninh urine will smell so bad. Ask your dr about your iron levels, and make sure you're taking your vitemins.
I would definitely mention it to your doctor, I'm having a ton of kidney problems with this pregnancy and what's going on with you now is how it started, then I woke up one night with stabbing pain in my right kidney. It was excruciating and my hubby took me from the ER at the hospital where my OB is. They ended up keeping me for 4 days. I had a severe kidney infection and also found out that the baby is putting a block on my urinary tract and it's causing my kidneys to not function properly. He told me unless the baby moves that I will continue to have infections throughout the rest of my pregnancy. It's very common to have kidney infections while pregnant, so it would be a good thing to talk to your doctor about! I hope you don't have to go through what I'm going through, it's really hard on me. Good Luck!
I noticed my vitamins make my urine have a strong smell, I take them before bed so it's more noticeable overnight. I also drink less water closer to bed in the hopes I won't wake up to pee as often, so it is also more concentrated at night.
That is one of those smells that is really bothering me with this pregnancy!! I can't even stand walking into the bathroom after someone else used it because it just make me want to gag!! Plus my almost 3 yr old is potty training n I can't stand to dump her little potty!! Lol..;-)
it could be when its most concentrated it has a stronger smell... it would be something to bring to your Drs attention just to confirm that they did infact test for bacteria just to be on the safe side...
