Smoke

I live with my boyfriend and his mom. She smokes about a pack of cigarettes a day & I absolutely hate it! She even gets mad when I open a Window to try and air out the house. The baby is due in 9 days idkk what I should do about her smoking.

You can't make her do nothing while living under her roof, I mean she could atleast be considerate knowing you can get second hand smoke and may cause problems for your baby. I suggest you find your own place that's on your budget or get a hotel.

My mil is kinda like that has given me crap when I wouldn't try some alcoholic drink she had saying she did it with all her boys but I just tell her its my baby and im choosing what happens with it

Thanks guys. Ugh. It's so aggravating. But i do plan to start working soon and move out. But she says she smoked the whole time with both of her kids. She's just nonchalant about it. Like she don't even care.

The general rule is to step outside and take at least 7 steps away from the house to avoid blow back. However, even if she did that and came back in, I wouldn't allow her to hold the baby. Carbon monoxide still radiates through the skin

She should definitely compromise since ur having her grandchild but if she won't theres not much u can do to make her change her habits start saving up ur money and get ur own place asap otherwise u could be causing permanent damage to ur child with asthma etc

She has to compromise, the baby's health is what's important & if she really cares she would smoke outside or at least slow down a little
