What o did to stop smoking was buy a pack. I wenthome and wrote down every reason I could think of as to why I was quitting. I mean top bottom sides.. I left the back open so I can mark the days I've been quit. Then I taped it shut. Tons of tap. That way if I wanted one. I would have to read it while I fought the tape. I always carry them with me and my lighter never leaves my pocket. Sounds nuts, bit it worked for me. My Dr saw the pack of smokes as I was digging for something and he started lecturing me until I pulled it out AMD showed him. He thought it was cool and want it when I'm done with them.
I quit cold turkey. It wasn't pretty the first month lol, but I thought of my baby as a motivation. I haven't smoked in 4 months. I'm 22 weeks now and some days are so stressful I want one still. You can do it! And limiting is a great way to start. Ask your doctor about patches or meds you can take for it while you're pregnant.
cold turkey for me, but that doesn't work for everyone
Thank y'all for the help & support!! I get up at 5 so ill start my schedule at that time & cut back from then :)
I still smoke, not proud but I've cut back a lot. I'm 24 weeks and all ultrasound have shown a perfectly healthy ahead of schedule boy. Just cut back as much as you can. Any type of stress on your body isn't good for you or baby.
Your off to a good start... you could try making a schedule and give yerself so many a day... say 5 fpr today so u can have one at 9, 12, 3, 6, 9 do that for a couple days and then do 4 cut out the first 9oclock smoke break and so on until yer not smoking anymore
Im finding it very hard to quit myself iv cut down but cant stop completly im going to ask my doctor hopefuly he wil give me patches or something x
I smoked most of my pregnancy which im not proud of...I had my son at 34+5 and he was healthy but only weighed 4 1/2 lbs
