Soda

I have been drinking coke zero my whole pregnancy I have about 20oz a day.
Or if my stomach is upset I have ginger ale
Does anyone else drink soda?
Do you worry that it harms the baby?

Soda is fine. However, the artificial sweetener in diet soda called aspartame is NOT! It's bad even if your not pregnant. My dr said absolutely no diet soda.

Also, keep in mind that while some caffeine is okay during pregnancy, lots of sugar is not. Sugar is bad for your body without a baby, but worse with one. A shocking amount of sugar is in soda, so try not to have more than one a day!

They say you can have 200 milligrams a day of caffeine and that's like 4 cans of most soda and 2 soft drink bottles so I'm sure drinking soda and coffee are fine

I drink soda on the regular & baby girls just fine! Although my doctor told me he'd rather me drink regular soda than diet bc diet is way worse for you.

I've been drinking at least a can or bottle of pop a day and my little chunk is doing just fine growing right on schedule and im 32 weeks today. My dr said it is fine in moderation so I wouldnt stress it as long as your little one is doing okay and your doctor hasnt said anything

lots of women drink soda during pregnancy. I do, but only one a day, usually with dinner. soda won't do any harm, just make sure you don't overdo it! and I'd suggest coke over coke zero. alot of people don't realize diet sodas are worse for you than regular!

I drink soda. And coffee. I've tried to cut it out completely but I was stuck in bed with migraine after migraine. As long as you monitor how much caffeine your taking in, I wouldn't worry too much. I have a cup of coffee in the morning and 2 sodas throughout the day!
