When I miscarried I was just turned 6 weeks at the time. The bleeding started new years day, very light pink, and gradually got heavier turning to crampy period pains with it. I went to the loo and I passed a lump a bit bigger than gold ball size, I just knew I'd miscarried then. I phoned my dh who was at work and then phoned the hospital who asked me to come in so they could check everything had come out. My cervix was closed when they checked and said it was a complete miscarriage. Think I bled for just under a week after that. Has your doctor mentioned you being checked over once the bleeding stops?
Perhaps you should try and find a pregnancy loss support group or a grief support group in your area, or even online. It may help you to sort through these feelings. I, too, have a tendancy to shove everything to the back of my mind and forget it. I also have big gaps of time where I don't remember a whole lot. You WILL get through this, just keep focused on Kylie and how much you love her :)
my first miscarriage was at 5.5 weeks. i bleed for about 10 days. no clots, just darker than normal. didnt hurt really either. my one at 7.5 weeks was much different with clots and somewhat painful.
if you get bad cramps i recommend sitting in a hot bath. that worked wonders. i dont think that you are going to have much more than a longer period.
I think I just need help................it feels like it's one thing after another and that every time things seem better, 50 others go wrong. I scare myself, because I start to go back to my old ways of thinking, and then the rational part of my brain kicks in. I don't know what to do anymore, and I just want to give up and hide somewhere dark and quiet.
I just keep wondering if emotionally I'm handling it wrong. Because of my past, I lock things up, and try to forget them. I've been told it does this to protect myself. As a result, I have enormous gaps in my childhood I can't recall. So with this inadvertently I keep blocking it and my brain is refusing to accept that what happened did. I'm just trying to keep busy and play with Kylie constantly. I go back to the doctor in a week to check my levels and such. I keep thinking I'll wake up and find out this was all just a nightmare.
My miscarriage that happened around 6 weeks it was mostly blood but I did have a fair amount of clotting. I know the cramps were horrible for about two days and the bleeding was probably closer to a week including the initial spotting. I had headaches too. I think what's normal really varies from person to person. I hope things ease off for you soon. You've already been trhough so much, you deserve a break!
When I has my miscarriage last March at 13 weeks I did it natural. I hate to say this but it was the worst experience any woman should have to go through. I kept going back and forth the whole time on whether or not I should just opt and do the D&C. I bled bad for a week and a half until I passed the sac which was pretty big about baseball size. Then I spotted for maybe another 2 weeks or so I had a Blighted Ovum. I am praying for you during this time. As all the other ladies have said we are here for you if you need anything! I am so sorry you have to go through this.
I'm probably not the best person to answer this because I had a missed miscarriage and needed to have a D&C. The bleeding lasted for about 2.5 - 3 weeks which I think is longer than normal. It was also very heavy for most of it. I was 13 weeks along though so there was more "stuff" to get out I guess. I had some minor clots nothing big and I do remember the headache that I had, it was awful. No medication I took helped either, I just had to lay down in a dark room with a cool washcloth on my forehead. I really hope it ends soon for you. I think the emotionally healing was a lot harder to overcome then the physical healing. Best wishes.
Both my mc's were pretty early (5-6wks) and mostly blood. The bleeding lasted about a week and just was more like a period. I had a headache with the 2nd, don't remember on the first. I think it is the change in hormones but call dr if you are concerned. I was really confused when I had the 2nd mc and refused to believe I was having a mc cause I didn't see clots and thats when I went to ER and found out for sure. I had a couple small clots after but nothing extreme.
The only natural mc i had was my chemical and i was about 4 weeks. With that one it was just like a normal period except a few small snot like clots. I did have a headache as well for about 3 days off and on. Sorry im not much of help and your having to go through this. I hope you feel better soon!
