Need a bit of a rant I guess cos all of this is just getting too much! We lived in all private rented property 2 years ago when my son was 6 months old and as we didn't have the money for a deposit our local council gave a deposit guarantee to the landlord (if we damage anything other than general wear n tear they will pay out n we just pay back the council) we moved out of that property after a year because of financial issues, mould issues which occurred because there was no proper ventilation in the structure of the property (my son now has asthma) and because the landlady crowbarred the door open instead of contacting a locksmith, when the lock seized shut from a frost, this left the door with no double barrel lock (because they drilled it out) the holes were gaffa taped and then they held it shut with 2 bathroom bolts for 2 months we rang them constantly about all these issues but nothing was done so we moved out to my FILs now a year later I got pregant on the pill but to my ibs and he has kicked us out because of my pregancy, the council have put us in temporary accomadation and are investigating our homeless claim to see if they think we made ourselves homeless.. well the woman that is dealing with out case is vile and will reduce the hardest of men to tears, she is now requesting all financial statements n this that n the other from when we was at the private property, all they could say was well why didn't you come to the council?.. as a privately printed property I didn't think it was anything to do with the council.. I'm due in 3 months and so scared of their decision because even thou we didn't make our selves homeless from either property I don't trust this woman and just know she's going to try everything to say we did.. I'm so stressed right now. We receive letters from them requesting information and they literally give us 2 days to get it to them! We don't live in the same town and my husband has the car for work I'm high risk anyway and just finding all of this too much! We have done nothing wrong and everything has been my the book and we have to go through all this and then I hear about a couple that have just got a council house after selling there own private house!?! I don't know what else to do! :( rant over

Yes we're in the UK, and yer that's the thing my husbands wage is Ok but after ur rent and water and council tax etc has gone out there isn't alot left but they say me, my husband and my son only need £197 a week (enough for rent and council tax) so anything more than that is 'excess income' were not asking for all these benefits and we don't ask for help from anyone we just earn what we can but now we're really in need, it looks like the council are trying everything they can to not help us! I'm not wonder woman and could just cry sometimes but I have to keep strong for my babies and my husband (who is absolutely great) so I find it hard to let it out

The council drive me proper insane! Like we thought wed apply for a council house (we currently rent a 2 bed flat) as we thought why not! But my husband earns a very good wage so we would be on that bloody list for years! All we get when are baby is here is child benifit (not that i expect anything if im honest) but it seems like they dont want to help good honest tax paying people in there time of need! Im so sorry youve gotta go through this! :(

If they decide we did then they'll give us 28 days to appeal it and/ or find somewhere else! We'll b homeless again  :(
