mucus plug ?

If dilation & effacement has occurred does that mean you've already lost your mucus plug? I'm due Saturday & as of last week I was already 4-5cm dilated & 90% effaced, but I've never noticed losing my mucus plug, so could I still have it or did I just not see it when I lost it? Sorry if it's kinda a dumb question, I'm a ftm lol.

You would see it, it's pretty gross. Mine fell out in pieces looks like a really nasty boogie. I only saw it with one of my three children.
