Thanks for your advice. Lately, I have been having problems with my gums because they get swollen and sensitive.  Last time I went to the dentist was end of last year

Okay, to the original poster... You could have gingivitis/ periodontal disease. When was your last dental check up?

Also, have you been ill? In an area where tuberculosis is prevalent?

There's a number of things but you aren't specific in what else you have done and what's happening. You can't expect a good answer like if you go to the doctor and say what you said and expect an answer. They'd ask you to go more in depth to analyze the situation.

I will give you best and worse case scenarios if you only give base info. That might scare you too much and curse you to worry but I cover all bases....

If you've had scans and no sac can be found then chances are that you are having a miscarriage. You're hcg levels may be high,  but over time they will reduce if you have had a miscarriage. Contact your medical professionals who should arrange for your hcg levels to be tested again in a few days time, if baby is developing then the numbers should be increasing/doubling. If they are lower than last time them baby hasn't stuck this time
Well, the same thing happened to me. I had a scan at 5 weeks and another one at 6 weeks and they did not see a thing(it was too early) my Hcg level were doubling tho. I went back at 9 weeks and I saw my lil angel. There might still be hope, just ask for your hcg level taken and wait 2 weeks more and see. I wish you luck, hope all is well and that it is just too early to tell like mine was. Cheers..

Gums are sensitive during pregnancy so it could be that or an ulcer?  You should see a doctor though.
