Spotting at 6 weeks

Hi everyone,

I'm getting anxious waiting for my doctor to open tomorrow! :(( I found out that I'm pregnant on Christmas eve morning and have been spotting on and off ever since. I'm not cramping per say but my stomach has been uncomfortable ever since. The blood starting coming after I stand for a bowel movement yesterday, stayed for a while and went away hours later. This morning I had a bowel movement (I didn't strain) and there was a streak of new blood on the toilet Paper. I haven't called my doctor to set up an appointment because I found out over the holiday. I haven't had an ultrasound, I don't know if my baby is ok and I'm really worried. For anyone who has cramping from a miscarriage can you tell me what the cramping felt like? I don't want to bring back bad memories for anyone, I just want to put my mind at ease...

I've had 4 miscarriages, and with all the bleeding started out always pink then quickly turned red and heavier. Had no cramping the first time. The other times, it was the most horrible pain I've ever felt. (And I've had a c section before) they were bad enough where there was no doubt that I had to go the ER. Brown blood usually means old blood and its completely normal to have that right now. Best wishes keep us posted and congrats

I don't want to make a trip to the ER unless I feel it's necessary and without cramping or new blood I think I should be fine. After 5 years of TTC without and success I'm nervous about loosing my blessing. Just drinking lots of water, resting and praying!

Yes it does!!! I'm so sorry for your loss! My stomach is just uncomfortable but no pain and my spotting is brownish and mixed in with my CM. There hasn't been any new blood except for a small drop this morning. And that also was mixed in with my CM. I've been resting and reading the majority of the day. I've tried not to do anything physical and keep myself preoccupied until the morning when I can talk to my doctor.

Spotting especially in the first trimester is not at all uncommon. I had a miscarriage 3 years ago and the cramping was unbelievably painful! Also there was a lot of blood. I think your fine but you should rest and drink plenty of water until you can see your doctor. Help this helps put you at ease a bit:)
