Stillbirth? Worried

So i'm sure im just being paranoid and ridiculous but im extremely worried about getting listeria from feta cheese. i havent eaten any through my whole pregnancy but tonight my bf's mom made something that had it in it. i only ate a very small about, about the size of a piece of bubble gum, the squares, but after looking at what it can lead to especially in the third trimester, which im in, im freaking out. is there any reason for me to be this worried? could such a small amount one time lead to me getting sick and harming my baby? im seeing my dr in the morning already and plan on asking her, but want some reassurance so ill be able to get some sleep tonight!

Also I have always been a feta cheese lover in all three of my pregs and I never knew of not being aloud to eat it during my first two.... And my boys are fine and I have no idea if I had unpasturized.... I think the risk is really low but to be safe just make sure it's pasturized to be safe..... Life would not be the same without feta and goat cheese so enjoy it

At this point even cribs are dangerous :( but cosleeping is dangerous too so really we should either live in a bubble or go back to cave living ;) if I couldn't eat cheese while pregnant I would be a very sad sad woman!  I <3 cheese!!

I agree. Try not to worry. If we followed everything they said you should do we'd have to live in a giant bubble.

Surprisingly a lot of feta and goat cheese are pasturized so it's totally fine. I eat goat cheese often but it's pasteurized. The unpasteurized is what is unsafe. You actually have a higher chance of getting in a car accident and dying than you do from getting sick from eating unpasteurized cheese. Not to worry :)
