my sister ddnt know about the cheese thing with her first pregnancy and she ate lots of it and my niece is now 4 and gorgous. i wouldnt stress to much...stress is more harmful on the baby at this time.
whew, thank you! i try to avoid everything that is deemed "unsafe" during pregnancy so i don't have to go through this. But i feel a little better now.
yea my sister avoided lots of stuff with her second bregnancy cos she didnt realise. but madi is a gorgous little girl and healthy as ever
Awe :) well that is very comforting. congrats to your sister! And a thank you cause its made me feel better lol
well that good i hope you have an easy birth
Surprisingly a lot of feta and goat cheese are pasturized so it's totally fine. I eat goat cheese often but it's pasteurized. The unpasteurized is what is unsafe. You actually have a higher chance of getting in a car accident and dying than you do from getting sick from eating unpasteurized cheese. Not to worry :)
I agree. Try not to worry. If we followed everything they said you should do we'd have to live in a giant bubble.
At this point even cribs are dangerous :( but cosleeping is dangerous too so really we should either live in a bubble or go back to cave living ;) if I couldn't eat cheese while pregnant I would be a very sad sad woman! I <3 cheese!!
I eat goat cheese like crazy mmmmmmm.... I always make sure it's pasturized tho.
Majikat have you tried goat cheese w pasta and tomato sauce? YUM one of my fav's
Thanks ladies! :) i thought about that and checked the container and yes it is pasteurized. so that let me give a sigh of relief as well. Clysta that's very true lol.
Yes sunworshiper that was my dinner last night mmmmm......
Also I have always been a feta cheese lover in all three of my pregs and I never knew of not being aloud to eat it during my first two.... And my boys are fine and I have no idea if I had unpasturized.... I think the risk is really low but to be safe just make sure it's pasturized to be safe..... Life would not be the same without feta and goat cheese so enjoy it
