Please help me with this! Day 3 labs!

I'm getting an infertility work-up, and there are tests that need to be done on day 3 of my cycle.  This is going to sound weird, but I'm just not sure if it's even started yet!  Yesterday I was spotting lightly, and now today, it seems to be a bit heavier.  I know the first day of AF is only when there is actual flow, but I wear tampons, so I have no idea if there is actual flow. . . I just know there is a little blood on a tampon.  Unfortunately I didn't temp this month, so I'm not sure if my temps dropped.  I could take my temp now, but I've been at work for a bit so they'll be higher regardless.  I just don't want to take my test on the wrong day because all the blood work will be off!  I made the appt. for Wednesday, which is day 3 if my true AF is today.  What should I do?

Thanks Michele.  I just love the people on this forum so much, that I tend to post here. I went and put a couple questions on the fertility forum, so we'll see if I get a response. :-D
I'm hoping to have good news for you in the next few months! :-D

Sorry girl!!  I hope you don't think I am ignoring you.  I too, don't usually have the answer to your questions.  I have always heard it's the first day of full flow too.  But I always start with full flow.  I don't spot in the beginning.  I only spot towards the end.

I agree with krushing.  You may want to post here, on the Maternal & Child forum, and the Fertility forum.  You may get more answers that way.  This forum is so busy that things get bumped to the bottom super quickly it seems.  I'm not one to get many responses on my questions either though.

Also, you may want to post in the Fertility Forum since that is the route you are taking right now.  You will probably get more answers over there.

Well, I usually spot in the mornings but by the afternoon I am full flow.  So it wasn't hard to figure out my CD3 for labs.

I would call the doctor's office and tell them your situation and they will be able to tell you when you need to come in.  I would say the spotting day was CD1, but that's just me.

Laura - You seem so sweet. :-D Thanks for responding.  I realize not all the questions I ask apply to everyone.  I actually think I will call my doctor. . . I just feel so stupid not even really knowing if this is AF or not.  But, I should call and just be sure.  Thanks again for responding. :-D

Okay - I know my posts aren't overly interesting, but I'm getting frustrated with never getting responses.  People spend so much time responding with what they are going to eat that day, what their mood is, etc, etc, that people with real questions sometimes get forgotten.

Sorry for the bitchy rant. . . It's just that the last few questions I've asked have not been answered.  Maybe I need to start asking more interesting stuff. ;-)
