even though everything is fine..of course babies can live out of the womb as early as 20 weeks or so nowdays...some babies go home at 36 weeks...36 weeks is the safest point...or so that's what they say...the drs usually want the baby to stay in until 36 weeks AT LEAST!!! if you are in labour and they can stop it they will...they did with a friend of mine at 38 weeks with twins...a few days later she had to have a csection there was no stopping the labour...but 34 weeks is still considered early...it all depends on the baby i guess because at 34 weeks you could have a baby weighing in at 7lbs or more
34 weeks is not way to early. I had both of mine at 36 weeks and my goal with this one is 34 weeks. They have a 99% chance of survival at 34 weeks. things have really changed. The baby is probably only gaining weight at this point. Everything else is already developed by this point. But I would still call L&D to see what they say.
i think being that you are really early you need to go into L&D to get checked...i am assuming you are only 34 weeks...34 weeks is far too early...
i had the same thing for 2 weeks prior to actually going into labor. i ended up at the hospital 2x's thinking i was in labor. my que to go back was when my water broke. lol. i thought i'd lost control of my bladder. totally freaked me out. i started crying....my mom laughed at me.
my "real" contractions started about 45 minutes later. mine were all in my back....the most excruciating pain in the world. thank god for epidurals!!
You will know when it is time to hit the hospital. Start keeping track of your minor pains. See if they happen at regular intervals. Once they get regular they will start getting stronger and keep the regularity. If you can still talk, it is not time to go. Basically they will start as pain and then no pain. Eventually the pain is pretty constant and the contractions are more pain on top of that...that is when it is time to go. Hopefully you will hit 5-1-1 before that because it is a much easier car ride. The key is timing. I had no idea that my water broke and did not get a bloody show until about an hour before my son was born. Good Luck!!
I would call L&D and just let them know what you are dealing with. Ask if it would be okay to stay home and try to rest a bit and see where the pains go, or if they feel that you should come in asap. The L&D department would be the people to ask, they have seen just about every type of labor and labor symptom, and should be able to tell you yay or nay.
Yeah i looked itup aswell but the only thing i am showing in contractions which is the pain, nesting i have and am still going through and diarreha...but no bloody show or water breaking, but then again it says only about 18% of womens water breaks by itself... lol i am soo confused
Hey i had the same thing the other day.
You could get some or more symptoms when in labour. Diarea (sp?), nesting, contractions, vomiting, bloody show, waters braking and you may get a surge in energy. i just looked it up for you hope it helps and good luck.
