Stretching and piercings during pregnancy

So I got mixed answers on getting tattoos and piercings well pregnant. I already have my tongue lips nose belly and ears pierced. But I'm looking to stretch my ears to 7/8. Is that ok to do well pregnant? I also want to get an industrial back in my ear? Opinions please :)

I still have my belly button ring in but my doctor said they will make me take it out when I get to hospital something bc of the metal and it not being sterile..but ill probably take it out before I go..I've had my belly button pierced since I was 13 so my hole doesn't even really close up!

Oh do they really?? Does a tongue piercing affect the pain relief or something? Im sure if it didnt close up for 8 months ill be okay with it out during labour and birth:)

they made my cousin take her tongue ring out during labor, but it might just be your doctors preferance, but i used to have my industrial and i tried to get it again about 6 weeks ago and it totally got infected and i was cleaning it 3 times a day my doctor told me it was because i was pregnant and my immune system and stuff were focused on the baby not healing the wound around peircing.. but after you get farther along most tattoo parlors wont deal with you because of the risks, i know you cant get tattoos while pregnant.

Yeah they made me take my tongue bar out with my two boys.  This time I'll be prepared,  I wanted my nipple piercing but I'm not sure.  Think I'll wait x

But don't they make you take out your tongue ring while birth for safety?

Well I pierced my tongue today and so far so good. But i did have it pierced for years before so the hole never closed up, there was only a small top layer of skin which didnt hurt poking it through lol

I wouldn't. I've been at half inch for like years now. But the other day my ear just got infected and i mean bad. Like it was turning purple and black (just the lobe). If you rip your ear even a little bit, not even enough to hurt, just a small tear, it'll get infected. And now i had to take it out and it closed up a bunch. I've been getting and doing piercings since i was like 15. Definitely don't recommend doing anything till after pregnancy. Your body will also, most likely reject the industrial because you are pregnant

It's just a higher risk of infection while pregnant and the blood clotting because of the higher volume of blood in a pregnant woman's body. Some places won't even pierce/tat a preggo so if you want to go get it done make sure they will do it on you! I'd call ahead and ask first

I've never stretched my ears that big but everytime I moved up a size it never bled? So I don't see how blood clots would happen.. I stretched my own ears too lol no point goin to a piercer who will do the same thing I can do. However I did go for my industrial, both cartlidge, and both tragus cuz I don't feel comfy poking where there's veins and plenty of room for error! So I mean I think stretching would be fine but possibly hold out on the industrial

The blood clots make me nervous. So I think I'll keep it aside till after. I do it myself because going to a piercer is expensive I started doing it myself before I went to 3/4

Its fine :) the only concern is blood clots and infection. If you are going to a sterile licenced peircer and you can keep up with after care your fine :)

I have my ears stretched I'm at 3/4 and have been for a year so I want to move up. But if its even a little risk there's no way. Gotta make sacrifices for the little one

Idk kinda 50/50 bc of blood clotting but since pierciers use surgical steal them I dont I would stretch my ears while I was preggers then industrial but that's my preference
