Stronger contractions

Well was supposed to get a membrane sweep today but midwife wouldn't do it because when she checked me she ended up hitting my water sack and was afraid she'd break it. She also said I've been in early labor this entire time (since last Thursday) I have regular contractions about 5 minutes apart lasting about a minute each but not serious pain with them. She said I will probably go into labor today or tomorrow she thinks. I'm 4 cm dilated and 70% effaced. I'm wondering if there is any way other than walking that can get these bad boys stronger

Just go to the hospital some hospitals will let u walk around for a hour to see if you progress and they will admit you if you do since your so close and your contractions might get stronger while walking good luck =-)

They are 2-5 minutes apart and have gotten worse since last week.

I'm a ftm as well but from what my ob told me my understanding is that most hospitals admit you after 3cm dilation so you should be good to go but for myself i'm planning on doing most of my labouring at home so if you've been in the early stages this long and contractions haven't gotten any worse chances are you'll be there for hours if not days before things get started which is what I don't want to happen to me so I'd start walking until the contractions at least get worse and a little closer together

Well I went in last Thursday with them that way and they sent me home but I was only a cm dilated and 50 effaced. I'm a first time mom so not sure what to do. I want to go in because they are stronger then what they were last week but I don't want to end up being sent home.

If they are 5 minutes apart and 1 minute long that's good enough to go into the hospital. They don't have to be super painful for you to go.
