Sugar Test

I have a horrible fear of needles..I mean HORRIBLE! I pass out every time they draw blood from me..This is my 3rd pregnancy and I had both my other babies 100% natural no pain meds..I can not remember how the do the sugar test...My sister's youngest child just turned 1 and she said they do the sugar test through a finger prick..I was just wondering if any of you have had the test done already and if they actually drew blood from your arm or did a finger prick????

I do to right now I'm 21 weeks and have complete placenta previa and if it don't move ill have a c section :(  but i have hope and that's y i was asking lol

U just made my night lol cuz i was scared that it was going to hurt lol and thank u for answering and sorry to ask a question in ur question..... but with my frist child they pricked my finger and i no wat u mean with the fear of needles i shake like crazy wen they tell me i have to i hate them pretty much cry wen they have to draw blood cuz I'm soo scared but with my second child they wouldn't prick my finger n i don't no y i hope they prick mine this time cuz next month is my sugar test :(

It was VERY painful my first time but my second time was a walk in the park

Is it painful wen they came out cuz the only spot the epi worked on me is the vagina so i had no pain there lol

Well I'm not sure this answer will help but I pushed for about an hour with my first child and with my second child I pushed two times and he was here..so I would say yes it got easier each time

Hey i no this don't relate to ur question but i have one of my own i see that u had ur kids natural with no epi i did and it doesn't work I'm on the thrid child and the frist two never worked now my question is does it get easier not the contractions but pushing the baby thro the vagina? Like ive asked people but nobody remembers lol cuz i want to do this delivery all natural if my placenta moves :)

My husband normally attends all my visits with me that involve drawing blood which helps a lot but he will not be able to attend this visit :( bummer

I had an arm draw too. I'm also terrified of needles. When they first drew blood I almost threw up, had to put my head between my knees and then they took me to an exam table to lay me down and do it. The sugar test was so much easier with my fiance there. I squeezed his hand so hard.

When I had mine it was through my arm. If your doctor is anything like mine sweetie you won't feel a thing because I didn't. She did a great job.
