Thank you Spade and Maj. Yes, I have never heard of it either, it's all very strange. I did say to myself after if it happened again I would ring the doc, but nothing has happened since. I have googled all over the place and can't find any similiar story, hmm. I know I should prob ring but they will tell me to go straight into the hospital but I really feel that everything is ok. Ahh decisions decisions >.<
You should always call the dr when in doubt because it's not with the risk... Now if something happend to the baby just cause you live an hour away and you don't want to make a fuss you won't forgive yourself.... I have never herd of the urge to push without contractions you should make sure that you are not dialating
It never hurts to call the doctor infact, that's why you pay them the big bucks. ;-).
If I were in your shoes I would absolutely call for advice. Everything might very well be ok but if there is something else going on then you might regret not making a simple call. I was told that a lot of pressure, the urge to push, or more than 4 contractions per hour before 37 weeks gestation are all symptoms that require a call to the doctor.
Thank you for replying Spade. I didn't think it would be anything to contact a doc about, since it happened approx 12 hours ago and nothing has happened since and the baby is moving around and being very active. I have an appointment on Tuesday and I live so far away from the hospital; ( over an hour), I don't want to make a big fuss. My partner also thinks I should ring the gynae but I don't want to make a fuss.
I don't know but highly recommend you call your doctor immediately to let them know what happened. The beginnings of preterm labor need to be ruled out. Please call even though it hasn't happened since.
