I had the dreaded pregnancy insomnia with number 3.  Some things I tried that were helpful  were making sure the room was a cool 68 degrees, I got a pregnancy pillow, about two hours before bed I would take s long warm(not hot) soak in the tub with lavender bubble bath, I would eat a snack usually something that was a carb(carbs can make u sleepy).  When all of that wouldn't work as a last resort my dr said it would b ok to take 1/2 of a plain unisom (not the rapid release kind)occasionally. Good luck to you.

I was on prescription sleeping pills before I became pregnant, now I am not allowed to take them. My doctor suggested unisom. Hope this helps.

I am 17 weeks pregnant with twins and I have the same problem I can't sleep either too much going through my mind of just can't get comfortable. Best advice I can give you is when you can't sleep don't just lay there get up and do something .. anything to exhaust yourself out some more. Take two benedryl and after about 20 minutes go lay down again. Usually I take the benedryl and I will sleep about 3-4 hours or so .. sometimes more. You can take it ever 4-6 hours. It is safe during pregnancy. Good luck!
