TMI WARNING: Can you lose your mucous plug without it being a bloody show?

I ask because over this last week CM has become more abundant, but today when using the restroom I noticed that I had quite a bit of thick, stringy CM that resembled thick snot, that type of consistancy. and it was yellowish.

I'm 35w2d right now, and I know sometimes sperm can be mistaken for CM, however after my last time BD'ing there wasn't any left I'm pretty much positive.. (I won't go into how I discovered that..) Thanks for the answers!

Joy~ Thanks.. that's pretty much how it looked for me.. jello. I went to the restroom again earlier and got a big part on the tp. like I'd just blown my nose. So quite a bit.

I'm pretty sure it was my plug or at least a big part of it. I did call my mom and let her know (she keeps asking cause she's worried about me going into labor.) So now she's more worried and wants me to be "careful". lol, at my last appointment the dr. didn't say anything about NO bd'ing.. but we didn't bring it up either. I figure if he were worried about it he'd have told us.

I never had bloody show. But I did lose bits of gelatonous CM (it was like jello). I was 3cm and effaced so I'm assuming it was bits of the plug.

thanks! Normally if it were semen from sex... it would only be there 1x when I wiped, and would be white not yellowish.. but nope, it was there multiple times and more each time.. Kind of gross.. I told DH about it and his only reaction was EWW!...

maybe later on when my brother and dh aren't here I'll look up pics of it.  I could definitely see how BDing would dislodge it. lol... TMI again but yesterday was the first day in WEEKS that I got that big O'.... and boy that changes a persons attitude! lol plus I know it causes mild contractions.... so hopefully.... (they're probably delivering him in a week anywayse...)

i think what you are describing is the plug...  i looked up a picture online and it looks like a huge snotty loogie!!  i don't think blood is necessary.  i have been having what you are describing so i am thinking i am losing my plug in pieces and tiny chunks--it's stringy and snotty like you are describing.  i have woken up 2 mornings with a spot of dried brownish blood in my underpants, but the actual pieces of plug i have found doesn't seem to contain blood.  i am seeing my doctor for my first internal tomorrow so we will see...  

maybe bding dislodged it for you!  hehe.
