TTC after miscarriage?

Hello ladies I hope you are all well.

As some may remember I had a miscarriage on the 25th of Jan - about 4 and a half weeks ago. I bled for about 3 weeks - the scan did show that although all the tissue had gone, the womb linning was still around 20 cms. The bleeding trailed off to spotting after a couple of weeks and then stopped completely for a few days. Exactly 4 weeks after the miscarriage I started getting mild cramping and spotting - weehey a period? The bleeding was so light it didnt get 'beyond' spotting and mild cramp for 5 days and the doctor said this might be because I bled for so long that there is nothing to shead. Well last night I woke up with strong period pains and normal mensus bleeding - a little heavier perhaps than my normal cycles. So its kind of like an inside out period with the brown spotting at the start. I am expecting things to be a little off but now I am stumped what to call day 1 of my cycle - so I can at least approximate an ovulation window for this month. Should I call day 1 when the spotting started or when the 'period proper' started. Anyones experiences gratefully recieved or I will have to have sex far more often than is convenient HA HA HA :D Doctor is clueless!

Yes but it's getting better, I put it in the hands of god & that's exactly where it is going to stay. My husband knows that I really haven't had an real cycle this mth yet, so his thing is maybe you're preggo again, but I told him that it is sometimes common for woman cycle to not be regular right after an m/c, & he was like it is also common for women to get pregnant back to back right after an m/c ( I did ov a little over a week after), so I told him give it a little time & if I don't get it in another week I'll test, honestly I don't know what's going on. I'm not going to get my hopes up & nothing; but my body going threw its changes. Take your prenatal vitamins, with extra folic acid to build your body up. My doctor also said it is good to eat raisins, peanut butter, & celery when ttc.

Thank you ladies,

Richeygirl my doctor said I can start trying again straight away. I think the only reason you are advised to wait is so that you have correct dates etc. She said that as soon as I am mentally ready - which of course was as soon as I had the m/c. I just wanted to be pregnant again and now I want it more than I want to breath. its such a hard time isnt it?

It's crazy how many extra things we have to go threw after we've already been threw enough. I miscarried Jan. 28, I was very early in my pregnancy, I bleed for about 3 days, heavy clots, but that's about it. We checked my blood levels of course & it was done. On the 23 on Feb. I whipped & I had brownish blood, which I felt my cycle coming but I have not had bleeding yet. Is that common? Can you count that as a period? My husband & I want to start again soon as my body get back right. How soon did your doc say you can start?

some doctors consider any bleeding, even if it is light spotting, as the first day of your period, whereas other doctors consider the first day of actual blood flow as your first.  Most research i've looked up says that spotting isn't suppose to be considered the first day.  My doctor is one of the doctors who says spotting is the first day of your cycle.

I would try and use opk.  It may take your body a little while to go back to normal and have regular cycles.  I m/c in october and had a d&c in nov and i still have not ovulated.  It is very frustrating so hopefully you can have better luck then me.  Wishing you baby dust =)

not sure either but i guess you could use an ovulation kit to find out. But i would just do the bd every other day (i know how exhausting it can get lol).  Good luck.
