Telling work your pregnant..?

When is a good time to tell your boss you're pregnant? I've only been at my job for 5 weeks and recently found out I'm 6 weeks pregnant. How long should I wait before I tell her?

Thanks for the advice. I'll wait until the first trimester is over but I'm still worried about telling her. If I lose my job I won't be able to get another job easily...eeek!

My boss was the first person who knew I was pregnant, before my (then) boyfriend even knew lol!
Only cos I was at work when I tested, and it was a shock cos it wasn't planned, and I freaked out...I have an awesome boss so she helped heaps :)
I'm not sure what your workplace is like though..I'm very lucky with mine..I'd tell them as soon as you feel comfortable though because there is so much stuff you have to work out..time off, back-filling etc..plus the policy there might dictate maternity leave so I'd be giving them as much notice as possible.

For work, I would definitely wait til after 12 weeks.

I would wait till the first trimester is over, besides that is pretty much the standard time for telling people anyways

tell them now that you JUST found out (: i didnt tell my work until i was hired lol. bc i didnt want to be discrimated against....but..now i am..lol...after 5 months later im 31 weeks and i now only get 7 hours a week....haha
