To be honest, this will be my first child and even I am scared to go into labor. I don't do too well with severe cramps, and can only imagine what labor will be like. My suggestion is to take think positive thoughts. You got through one child. Just think (if you did or plan on getting the epidural), the pain won't last long and soon you won't even know you're having contractions. If needed, send yourself to a favorite memory. A perfect vacation spot in your head. Or even daydream about things you want to happen. Think about what your current son or daughter will think when you bring the baby home. If needed, have your hubby talk to you about positive things. I'm trying to help. All I can say is try meditation techniques or even look up a few tricks to calm the anxiety and hopefully this helped.
Try taking a hypnobitthing class. Helps you control and calm your mind. I also have the gentle birth CD collection. They are expensive but very good for helping you stay calm and relaxed
