Usually obgyns are a specialist that do not require a referral though

Does your insurance company require it? Some insurance companies require a referral in order to process claims when you see a specialist. With certain policies,  if you don't obtain a referral then the member is responsible for all out of pocket costs from that visit :/ I work for Horizon blue cross blue shield.

Im so confused i call to do an app on what? Cuz what i do is i call a specific hospital and they say well we need a referel to aprove then once its faxed it will take up to 7 days to be complete then ill have o wait for that long till they call me the gyno to set up an app how else can i do it?
