The Results Are In!

Thankfully rachie204 PMed me and asked me about my test results from the doctor because I forgot... AGAIN! Ugh, I'm not liking this whole "Mommy Brain" thing which I often call "Brain Mush".

Anyway, the results are in... the nurse on the phone couldn't really go over the ultrasound except to read the note that the doctor left on the file: "There are follicles on the ovaries and the left ovary is slightly enlarged." Apparently, that is not abnormal! The ovary could have been swollen from ovulation or something and having multiple follicles is not abnormal either!!!

Then I asked her to give me my glucose and insulin results---BOTH WERE NORMAL!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am so relieved. When I was getting my blood drawn at the 3-Hour Glucose/Insulin test I felt such a peace come over me!

I guess my only question to my doc when she calls tomorrow is, "Am I ovulating?" because I haven't gotten pregnant. At least to my knowledge! AF still hasn't arrived but I've gotten THREE BFNs and I don't feel pregnant or AF-ish. I think I am now 5 days late!

beautifullychaotic, my sister just sent me pictures that she took during her visit (via Kodak) and it is really weird... when I look in the mirror, I think I look GREAT but when I see pictures of myself I see how big I truly am. So losing the weight would be nice. I can only assume it is the testosterone keeping the weight on! That, or my body truly is regulating itself now. I can't wait to hear what my doc will tell me.

lidalbit, yeah I don't have either pregnancy OR AF symptoms either. I just feel like I always do!

rachie, maybe you're right (hopefully!). BOTH of my girls decided to start crying when I called and I couldn't make out what the nurse said. I thought she said I would have to pay a copay. Maybe she was saying I didn't? I guess I'll know for sure tomorrow. I know some docs do charge for phone calls.

So far so good!! The metformin is wonderful! And you can lose weight on it too!  I was on it for a year or so.  Just be prepared to use the bathroom more than usual. But that would or should ease up after your body gets used to it.  Good luck!

Glad to hear all the updates...well I'm really confused with my body...if I was on a 28 day cycle I should be starting today....if I'm on a 34 day cycle like last month I won't start until next monday. This month is just so weird for me because I don't have pregnancy OR af symtoms like I usually get.  I don't know what the deal is....are u feeling the same way?

i wouldnt think they would charge you a copay for that.  But I guess all insureances are different.  I went in to get a hcg blood test last week and they didnt even make me pay one then..i was expecting a $50 charge

Instead of going in, the nurse told me she'd have the doctor call me personally tomorrow. I think I still have to pay a copay, but at least I won't have to drive out there. So tomorrow afternoon I should get more information about what we're going to do. She MAY have me take the glucophage/metformin for a little bit just to get the testosterone cooperating, so we'll see!
