Tuesday night about 6:15pm Hubby decided to go toToysRus to pick a few things up for the kids for Christmas. I stayed home with the kids while he went to go shopping. After Barry left I went and spent a few minutes in the bathroom(TMI sorry lol) and afterwards went on our back deck which is covered and lit with our flood light. Took me about 5-6 minutes to smoke a whole ciggarette. During this time I didn't hear or see anything out of the ordinary. We have a pretty wooded backyard. When I was done with my cigg I went inside, turned off the flood light and locked the sliding glass door. I went to go in the kitchen and swap the dishes out of the dishwasher. No sooner did my feet hit the dining room floor I heard glass break, and my 30 pound orange cat jumped into the bay window in the dining room.
I didn't think anything of it, and I went to look at the window to see what it was....we have birds that are stupid enough to fly into our windows lol. I looked and seen the window was broken, when I looked outside I seen the outdoor chair I was just sitting in while smoking in front of my window....then I knew what was going on.
I grabbed all the kids and put them in my bedroom, only room with a lock. I stayed in the living room and called 911.
At 7:45pm the cops finally arrived...about 2 min after I called as they patrol the trailer park a block away from me. When they got there they went straight to the backyard, then I heard shouting......I went and looked out the same window, and thats when the officer told me to stay inside....I about flipped.
They had the guy! He was laying on the ground with the wind knocked out of him. They went ahead and cuffed him, and did a body search and found what looked like a .45 milimeter pistol, But it turned out to be a BB gun thank goodness. The guy who is only 19 years old, said he was just trying to *scare* me, but changed his story when asked again....and said he didn't know I was home with kids...which is a lie. My kids were being very loud while playing, my TV was turned up loud because I couldnt hear it over the kids, and my lights were on.
THEN! He changed his story again......He said he knew I was home because he seen me through my bushes smoking, and that he knew I was alone because he watched Barry drive off. The kid was after my laptop, TV, and my kids' Wii system...all that he seen through my windows a week before he broke in. He wasn't planning on hurting anyone he claimed, which is why he only brought a BB gun, he knew I had kids which is another reason why he said he only brought a BB gun. When asked how he ended up on the ground out of breath....he said he didnt know we had a dog LMAO....and when he was told it wasn't a dog and it was a cat...he turned beat red lol.
We were just updated today that he had finally told what they feel is the *truth*. He will be prosecuted as an adult for attempted B&E with a dangerous weapon. They did pull his prints off the window, chair, and window sill, and the BB gun.
He got very lucky.....because I had a fully loaded 50 calibur desert eagle in my hands that was cocked and ready to blow his head off lol. Im happy he never made it in my house, because if he would have pulled that BB gun out on me...he wouldnt be here today. That BB gun looked like a REAL pistol.
So Barry decided to get an ADT alarm system installed which will be here next Tuesday. And he got me Ace...my new puppy lol....which is also a late anniversary gift lol.
I figured a dog will warn me enough to unlock the gun case and grab ammo, and the alarm system will notify me to put the cartridge in the gun lol.
I owe that night to AJ....If it wasn't for him I would be sitting here with the guilt of killing some stupid kid on my shoulders for the rest of my life. He truely saved my life and that kids life, and I am very greatful that he did.
We just got the report today on this *New* story.
