lol that whole lunar and calander thing confused me when i 1st had it explained, thats when i looked at a calender and realized the month and week thing. it helps me put the months into perspective of where i am at what week. when i was at 16 weeks 4 months sounded better to me made it sound as if i was gaining ground on my months. and now that i 8 months my goodness it hard to believe
(lol had to see how many days i had left)
Both 9 and 10 months!
You are pregnant for 9 CALENDAR months - in my case, we conceived on about March 18 - and 2 weeks before that would be roughly the start of my cycle - so March 4 - and we are due on December 6. So March 4 - Dec 6 = 9 CALENDAR months.
But, you are also pregnant for 10 LUNAR months - every 28 days is a new lunar(moon) cycle - so 28 X 10 (lunar months) = 280 days (in my case March 4 to December 8 would be 280 days) or roughly 9 CALENDAR months. :-) I am sure that is as clear as mud! LOL
So its like when your 36 weeks your in your 9th month but your not completely 9 months preg untill you get to the end of the month or 40 weeks?! haha so confusing?!
lol i know i was soooo confused int he beginning until i started saying ex: 5 months 3 weeks = 23 weeks or 3 months 2 weeks = 14 weeks. now tom i am 8 months 0 weeks (just eight months) or 32 weeks
They count the 2 weeks before you get pregnant as being pregnant so yes it is technically 40 weeks = 10 months. Its all confusing and if you are 8 weeks then you are 2 months. I have no idea where the 9 month thing came from either! LOL!
