scheduled induction

I am almost 38 weeks. My doctor is going to schedule my induction date here probably at my next appointment she said. She does not want baby staying in past 39 weeks. I have heard so many stories of things going wrong with medicine inductions. Has anyone had anything bad hapoen during your experience? Any good stories? I am so freaked out. I really dont want to have to be induced.

I was induced with both my children because I went over my due dates. Everything went smoothly and I didn't have issues either time.

I'm in the same boat. My Dr and midwife both say to remember that many of the women who have issues have a low score to begin with. They score you based on current dialation, how much you're thinned out, baby position, etc. The higher your score, the better the induction should go. Also remember issues happen in a natural birth too, but they aren't talked about as much because everyone assumes their issues were induction related, not simply birth related. Anyway! Good luck to you!!
