I have hypothyroidism. underactive thyroid. I take levothyroxine every day, it can be pregnancy induced or not, and it may or may not go away after birth, usually not a big deal at all!

I had something similar happen. I got a letter from my regular doc saying a blood thyroid test I had in October of last year (I wasn't preggo at the time) came back abnormal. I showed my ob the letter (Monday) & she wasn't too happy but sent me to L&D for monitoring, testing, & an ultrasound. My blood work came back & my thyroid was not functioning at the normal range, it was functioning lower. My platelets had also dropped lower from last week. I was placed on steroids to bring my thyroid up & also some meds for my platelets to come up. The ultrasound was done to make sure the baby had enough fluid. That came back normal. I will be back up to L&D next week for re-testing to see if the meds are working to being everything up. How far along are you?

Did she get this from blood work?  If so they should send you for an ultrasound on your thyroid
