Thyroid

Hello ladies: I am currently 10 weeks and 3 days and was told I have a very low "Thyroid #".. I did a bit of research and I am now scared out of my mind.. Has anybody gone through or i going through this during pregnancy! What could I do to help my baby or myself so this won't affect my fetus?

I have the high tsh level, and the previous post is very correct... I had a miscarriage in march bc it wasn't under control and then after getting it under control we planned another pregnancy and I'm currently 17 weeks and growing a very healthy baby!! I take 137 micrograms a day of thyroid meds

Yes, I am going through thyroid issues. I was taking levothyroxine before pregnancy & just a month ago had to begin taking a higher dose because I was told it's underactive again, usually creating a higher TSH level. I saw a doctor and he told me taking medication for this issue is perfectly fine & will actually benefit the baby's health. At least you caught the problem... What are your symptoms? I was having severe fatigue and putting on several pounds quick, and was also in a mood-funk but I thought it was just pregnancy symptoms & the time change.

usually they worry that the thyroid is too high in pregnancy, over 2.5 is considered to high as it can cause miscarriage and brain damage, they usually put you on meds to lower it, so I'm sure they will either moniter you closely or put you on medication to see if they can raise it abit
