placenta?

When I was at my last sonogram the doc said my placenta had dropped to my cervix. She said normally it moves over pregnancy. I was wondering if it would effect anything to have sex? Or will it mess things up. Im paranoid cause I have been bleeding after sex laty...

I had a low placenta at 17 weeks and was advised to abstain from sex...well I was put on pelvic rest as soon as she notices it, so I would say its def. Something you should ask your doctor. But it definitely should move back up, I had my 20 week appointment last week and the placenta had already moved up a significant amount :)

Well I already went to the doc for bleeding last week. They say its from a hemorage.. Im almost ten weeks

How far along are you? I would call you dr and tell her about bleeding after sex and don't have sex until after you do. I had the same problem earlier on in my pregnancy. The placenta does normally move by the time the baby is come by if it doesn't you will have to have a c section. Also when it is low the dr will sometimes put you on pelvic rest. Not always. My dr didn't. But if you're bleeding you should definitely see what your dr suggests.
