The avid reflux is caused by all your organs being pushed up to make room for baby. It forces the opening to your stomachs open causing heart burn. Tums help. Drink lots of water and I noticed yogurt helped mine go away. The congestion is from pregnancy hormones. If u download the "what to expect when your expecting" app it tells you all the changes happening to you body and why week by week. Its really helpful
1st question
I don't believe it I didn't have any acidreflux n my bby had a full head of hair
2nd question
not shure. Could it be alllergies since the wether is changing?
I have bad sinus with out being pregnant... Add pregnancy to the equation and its dreadful! I asked my Dr for a nasal spray. It give some relief, but not complete relief. Even so the little I am getting is heaven. Also steam is great.
Question one is definitely an old wives tale...you'll just have to take tums to help with the acid. And wait and see the hair situation..lol
Question two is unfortunately normal. I'll be 24weeks tomorrow and my allergies and sinuses have been horrible my whole pregnancy. Try a saline nasal spray..it helps..you'll go through phases of better and worse.
Good luck!! :-)
To answer your first question, it depends on your body. I didn't have any acid reflux/indigestion with my first pregnancy and my daughter came out with a head full of hair. :). As for the sinus problem, it's normal.
