I suffer from severe migraines and I am 16 weeks pregnant, I take 2 tylenol 3 (tylenol with codiene) in the morning and 2 in the afternoon, they help, might want to check with your dr as they are a narcotic
I was on vicodin. I'd been on them for nearly 7 years and didn't want to be dependent on them anymore. It was EXTREMELY easy for me to come off them, but I don't want to put myself or my baby in that situation again. Besides, at the beginning when I was weening myself off, taking even 1/4 of a 5mg vicodin made me soooooooo messed up and I HATED the way they made me feel. I'm just gonna have to talk to my OB if she ever calls me back. I've had a headache for 9 days now. I haven't been able to leave the house since it started so I'm going absolutely stir crazy.
I attached the link to Tylenol......Hope this helps. Looks like you can take 8 in a 24 hour period, but not to exceed 10 days without consulting your Dr.
4 grams a day is the maximum safe dose of Tylenol, that would be 2 extra strength pills every 6 hours; if you were to take 2 pills every 4 hours that would equal 6 grams - a toxic dose; tylenol can actually be pretty dangerous if overdosed (especially to the liver)opioids are pretty safe in pregnancy (I'm not sure what pain pills you were taking prior to your pregnancy) - you should definitely talk to your OB about pain management options; hope this helps!
You might read the warning label on the bottle. I do believe it says not to take it longer than two weeks or something like that doesn't it? I don't have my bottle with me at work or I'd check for you. I'll see if I can't find something on Tylenols website....
i drove a taco chip shell into a nerve of a tooth when i was 6 months pregnant and the doctor told me i could take 2 extra strength tylenols every 4 hours if i needed it was fine, i was told that by my family doctor and my OB/GYN
You really should talk to your OB. Maybe he can prescribe physical therapy...I have neck problems and it has helped me. Just a thought....Feel better.
